Insiders to Trump: Drop out

this is getting funnier- and weirder- by the hour.

Amid widespread chatter that DonaldTrump could drop out of the presidential race before Election Day, Republican insiders in key battleground states have a message for The Donald: Get out.

That’s according to The POLITICO Caucus — a panel of activists, strategists and operatives in 11 swing states. The majority of GOP insiders, 70 percent, said they want Trump to drop out of the race and be replaced by another Republican candidate — with many citing Trump’s drag on Republicans in down-ballot races. But those insiders still think it’s a long-shot Trump would actually end his campaign and be replaced by another GOP candidate.

“I’d rather take our chances with nearly anyone else than continue with this certain loser who will likely cost the Senate and much more,” said a New Hampshire Republican — who, like all respondents, completed the survey anonymously.

“The effect Trump is having on down-ballot races has the potential to be devastating in November,” added a Florida Republican. “His negative image among Hispanics, women and independents is something that could be devastating to Republicans. Trump’s divisive rhetoric to the Hispanic community at large has the potential to be devastating for years to come.”

in mid-September. He'll have a sudden "health crisis". Maybe those bone spurs in his heels that kept him out of Vietnam will act up.

In any case, the likelihood of dangerous ideology from the right will always be with us.

We will certainly take back the Senate.
And we will make big gains in the House.
If they replace him with an "acceptable" candidate like Romney, who knows what happens.

The man has a true narcissistic personality disorder. He will honestly think the polls are rigged against him - no matter what anyone says. He's already claimed himself the healthiest person to run for the Presidency - I don't think his ego will allow him to believe things have turned against him and that he actually may lose.

He's clearly aware that the polls are turning sharply against him, and whether he thinks they're rigged or not, I don't think his fragile and enormous ego could take a coast to coast drubbing.

Do you think with that personality disorder he can be fool himself into believing there is really some kind polling conspiracy and that if he just plows through, he can prove everyone actually loves him and it's only the media that is trying to bring him down with "bullshit" polls? I honestly don't think you can convince him everyone doesn't love him. THAT's how bad it is.

The Republican Party stoked the hate that gave them Trump. This is what you get for running a political party with Nixon's "Southern Strategy" as a foundation of your support. Hate has consequences.

Taking Trump out now would essentially mean throwing the election due to the states where the new candidate (assuming they can even pick one quickly enough) wouldn't be able to get on the ballot. It's hard to see that helping the downballot situation compared to Trump staying in.
