In researching news of US/Iraqi plans for retaking Mosul, I came across this sidebar story...

Isil opens five-star hotel with excellent TripAdvisor reviews in Mosul

Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isil) has opened a five-star hotel boasting excellent TripAdvisor reviews for its commanders in Mosul.

According to reports in Arabic language media, the jihadist group has reopened the Ninawa Hotel in Iraq's second-largest city.

The hotel will reportedly be available for visiting commanders, but it will also cater for weddings.

In TripAdvisor reviews published prior to Isil's seizure of vast swathes of Iraq including Mosul last year, the hotel received four reviews, all marking it as "Excellent".
