Conscience...like WTF..in defending not voting for Hillary..what claptrap that is..it's not conscience...but ego..ego where you put you kids and grandkids future at stake with a possibility of trump appointed Supreme Court justices..it's ego to endanger our national security with man so clearly unfit to be president...it's all ego....
I am so tired of hearing about it.....I'm not letting a hitler type take the whitehouse and it's a shame we have those who's ego is so way more important that they want to teach America a lesson...it's a trump level sickness

(146,317 posts)do the better job in office. It's not all about my own personal issues. I vote for the common good, and always for a candidate I think has a reasonable chance of winning. I never waste my vote on fringe candidates. I cannot do that in good conscience.
My conscience tells me to vote for the better of the two candidates who might win. Always. My ideal candidate is never on the ballot, actually. That candidate has never been on my ballot, and never will be.
It's a binary choice for every office. I vote for the better choice, not the ideal choice. The ideal choice is either not on the ballot or cannot possibly be elected.

This is OUR land and not only are we taking it back; we are taking it into the future!

(14,557 posts)cruz had been saying, GOD told him to run for president.
Then why did he not tell his people to 'pray' on who to vote for.
It was a softee on cruz's part.
He should have said that he still believes god wanted him to be president, but 'something' got in his way....
....That his people should pray on what that was...

(11,330 posts)this next election is critical...
The next President will nominate 2,3 or maybe even 4 Supreme Court justices.
Since the average term of office of a supreme court judge is more than 25 years,
those appointments will set the tone and attitude of the Supreme Court for the next generation.
Allowing those appointments to be conservative appointments will mean game over for any progressive goals.
