Discount Tire goes all in on Joe Arpaio

Discount Tire, the national tire chain founded and headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, has ordered all of it's Maricopa County stores to display "Re-elect Sheriff Joe Arpaio" in their front windows.

I won't be shopping there again.

My husband worked there for a brief period of time, but quickly got the hell out of dodge, DT was so awful. They demoted all the Sales Managers to Assoc. along with a substantial pay cut, but said they had to be at work from 9am to 9pm but couldn't work more than 8 hours a day!! When my husband questioned this in the meeting where it was rolled out, he was told they should clock out for several hours 2x a day. When J asked who would cover their responsibilities during those 4 hours, the suggestion was clock out but don't leave so customers can get help they need.

They are a good fit for Drumpf, same values and caring.

I've known companies who have done similar things and ended up with class action suits against them.

By putting signs promoting controversial politicians in your store windows. It means I won't shop with you.

Thanks for the education about Bruce Halie and the implication that I'm an idiot.

I've been thinking about switching insurers, but I have used him for over 30 years. Well, that's about to end even if I have to pay a few extra bucks.

Nobody cares that much about a second tier tire retailer. You posted like it was a an endorsement for a veterinarian or something that matters.

Retail companies should just stay out of politics. It is such bad business. They deserve any loss in revenue that might result.

My aunt lives in Maricopa County. Last time I was there, there was a commercial for him. And my aunt said most of the residents there hate his guts. But they don't do anything about it.

Had I not read this here, I would have no idea where Discount Tire was located, or what their leaning was.

I know I will *NEVER* order Papa John's again
