Trump Asserts That He Did Not Throw 'Beautiful Baby' Out Of His Rally

By Kristin Salaky Published August 5, 2016, 5:22 PM EDT

Donald Trump is not one to let a spat go—even if it's with a baby.

During his rally in Des Moines, Iowa Friday, Trump defended an incident earlier in the week where he appeared to kick an infant out of his rally.

During a rant about how dishonest the press is, Trump explained his side of the story, saying that when the crying child interrupted his speech in Virginia and he asked the mother to leave everyone in the crowd was laughing.

"A beautiful baby was crying. And, I mean crying like you would not believe," he said. "This baby could have been Pavarotti—in fact—I'm going to find out who that baby is, I'm going to make a deal with their parents because we can take that baby to a training school and it will be the next, great Pavarotti."

Trump went on to say he was frustrated with the "disgusting" press for saying that he "threw a baby out" of his rally.

I wonder if there really is something wrong with him, or has he gotten away with assholery so long that he can't control it?

Either one is really, really bad

That's what it looks like, based on the suit Hillary is wearing. I know it's shallow, but I am excited about having a president who dresses in color and wears more interesting clothes than any male president we've had.

in that I would be the first to complain that a male candidate would not get criticism for what he wears - he is also limited. And a female President can do different things. Wearing white for the nomination - made me think what can she wear for the inauguration? Probably will be somber or a similar color to men's suits in general. Probably can't wear black like a man could - the yammering heads will talk about that as in funerals or something.

In 2008 on stage when there were numerous candidates for the nomination and they all posted - Hillary was able to stand out in a colored pantsuit. The men all looked the same.

If Cheeto had done that he would have gone up in the polls.

But it was right there on tape his lying and telling the mother to get list with the baby.

It will be a great ad against him.
