Roberto Durán is challenging Donald Trump to a fight on Twitter!

Quick prediction: I think Donnie may want to cry “No Mas” after the first round.

Quick prediction on Trump’s response: “Durán’s a lightweight!”

Well, yes he is. The Greatest of All-Time, in fact.


Durán won 31 straight consecutive fights after taking the lightweight title from Ken Buchanan in June of 1971. His first 10 defenses were knockout victories.

Durán, in a Twitter chat on Friday promoting the movie “Hands of Stone,” was asked who he would like to fight if he was able to come out of retirement.

“I would like to step into the ring with Donald Trump to see how many Latin people, how many Latinos he’s going to deport and to see how really strong he is.”

Durán was sitting next to Edgar Ramirez, who plays Durán in The Weinstein Company picture that’s due out August 26, so maybe there was a touch of Hollywood trying to stir up a little publicity for the movie.
