Campaign Shake Up!!!

The Trump Campaign announced changes in their leadership this morning. Republican pollster Kellyanne Conway is campaign manager, Stephen Bannon of Breitbart and formerly with Goldman Sachs (isn't everybody?) is now "Chief Executive," and Paul Manafort becomes "Chairman".

The Morning Joe panel tried really hard to polish this turd. Bannon has no campaign experience whatsoever, and the expectation is he will allow Trump to double down on big rallies and Hillary hate that has been working so well for Trump since the fabulous Republican Convention.

One thing we can expect is that the campaign will get nastier. C&L readers know full well the legacy of Andrew Breitbart is one of nasty no-ethics edited-video sliming,.

All of this Palin republicanism has been kept muffled behind the Ryan-republican attempt to make conservatism more palatable. This Trump brand has completely exposed their sordid underbelly. This is political suicide by delusional wingnuts who've convinced themselves their bigoted politics is taken seriously by any significant number of Americans outside of their rabid internet bubble.

4. That speech last night was full of vindictive lies. I hope the media becomes journalism again.

They can either be on the same train as the Ailes-Breitbart-Fox slimefest that is going to lose whatever microscopic bit of ethics it might have had or can become a voice for truth. I don't know that I have much faith in that, which is a real tragedy because I've admired the media that stands up for truth for my whole life and had a miserable few years as they fell prey to sensationalism.

Trump has one talent. He cons. He's surrounding himself with con artists, people who, in an age where information is everything, know how to twist it and trash it and destroy good people with lies.

If they were to get into positions of political power they would have NO idea what to do.
