I doubt that is a coincidence. I suspect that the security people in charge of the briefing told Trump that if Manafort was part of the team to be briefed, they would get very little information.

I wouldn't trust any of Trump's other selections for his team but they may not have been the obvious security risk that Manafort obviously is.

They demoted him AS very damaging information broke, though. Not at all a coincidence for a Trump operation too dysfunctional and corrupted to act sooner.

The Russian banks, mob, Putin, whatever have Trump by the balls IMO. So Manafort is still there.
