Was right after the 2008 election when he congratulated Obama. I got the sense that as a Southern white person who grew up surrounded by overt racism, he was proud of the progress the country had made in electing Obama even if he disagreed with him.

8. Of course not. MLK was in one of the greatest orators in modern history. Dubya was horrible.

My point was, if Dubya was the old standard for awful public speaking style but Trump comes in and created a new low standard, Dubya ends up sounding like MLK in comparison. In terms of delivery, not substance, of course.
