in typical RW asshole fashion, he merely expressed "regret" that what he said might have hurt someone.

"Sorry" wasn't in there.

Mostly, I think he "regrets" that being an asshole cost him in the polls. Obviously, he didn't expect that. He did state unequivocably that he would never, ever lie to us.
