The Hillary Clinton campaign immediately seized on Trumps claim that he regrets using painful words during his campaign to ask for a specific list of insults that Trump regrets.
In a statement, HFA Deputy Communications Director Christina Reynolds said, Donald Trump literally started his campaign by insulting people. He has continued to do so through each of the 428 days from then until now, without shame or regret. We learned tonight that his speechwriter and teleprompter knows he has much for which he should apologize. But that apology tonight is simply a well-written phrase until he tells us which of his many offensive, bullying and divisive comments he regretsand changes his tune altogether.
As a helpful resource to Trump, the Clinton campaign provided this list of 250 insults that he has spoken during the campaign.

(1,254 posts)And let's put this in perspective. These wishy washy comments sounds more like an excuse/confession. Its day TWO, since Trump hired a NANNY to head his campaign, blow his nose, change his diapers. This is the NANNY at work, trying to clean up little Donnie's mess. But in the meantime, there is Donnie's history of bankruptcies, contracts and Trump You, where Donnie has SHOWN NO REMORSE WHATSOEVER about cheating people, yet NANNY thinks voters are stupid enough to OVERLOOK this by Trump issuing a half-assed, unbelievable substitute for an apology and we should believe hes sincere?

(22,897 posts)Oh, the delicious possibilities!! Two hundred fifty insults need addressing!! (including insulting the lectern
in the Oval Office)
NYT
Since declaring his candidacy for president last June, Donald Trump has used Twitter to lob insults at presidential candidates, journalists, news organizations, nations, a Neil Young song and even a lectern in the Oval Office. We know this because weve read, tagged and quoted them all. Below, a directory of sorts, with links to the original tweets.

(2 posts)Let's be honest, Trump isn't sorry about any of his many foolish comments. After all, he's held racist and bigoted views for decades, and is only expressing "regret" because he's being exposed in the media for the xenophobic douchebag he is. He'll NEVER actually pivot, because that would require him to fundamentally change his character, which he is completely incapable of.

(28,979 posts)In every case, he "brands" each opponent using the same mocking term interspersed between every line he tweets. HRC he labels "crooked." Jeb was "weak" and Cruz a "liar." Warren is "goofy."
He stays on message inserting the term as often as possible while peppering the rest of his words with the same jingoistic phrases and insults.
That is some frightening use of language. The propaganda of advertising.
