Five minutes of Morning Joe finds Joe and

Michael Steele trying to justify new found hopes and warm fuzzies for Herr Trump while blaming the voters for the lower bar set for him. Joe is Sargent Schultz. And he is on the offense with Hillary and President Obama re.: truth. Seems to think Trump saying he tells the truth is enough. Look for an end to fact-checking while the dewy eyed political bureaus try to normalize this jerk's candidacy. Five minutes telks you all you need to know about the landscape ahead. Fight back.

I was chagrined to see him filling in with that other smirky, smarmy creep, Mark Halperin this week. Hope it's not a sign of things to come. Yuck.

not just erase away everything Trump has said over the past 15 months. He kept saying is too, that people are not that stupid and would not forget everything that he's said in the past. Joe and Michael Steele were convinced that Trump had been born again, after one day of not behaving llike an asshole. Donnie was the only one who said that although he's known Trump for about 10 years, he's not buying it, and I appreciate his candor. He was the only one who wasn't buying the bornagain Trump. I applaud him for his honesty, since he was the only one not buying the bullshit that Kellyanne was packaging.

Trump wanted to control the media message. Breitbart News is all friendly with Morning Joe. So all of the favors are being granted.

They are the ones setting a low bar and back to the Trump lovefest. Notice how they do not cover the lies in the prompter speech.

is that after the prototype republican mind fucking to connect dots that don't connect, they end game is that if Trump just "stays out of his way" and reads teleprompter speeches he gets to attack Hillary on not being honest.

This jackass can't go two sentences without contradicting himself and lies more than he breathes, but an entire year of complete jackassery miraculously evaporates and his complete disconnect from the truth is completely ignored and Hillary gets to be castigated for being dishonest.

THIS is America 2016.

Republican mouthpieces like Joe Scarborough and the Republican corporate owners of the cable and network news are trying to do is prevent a landslide election that flips both the Senate and the House to Democrats.

He reminded them that people are not stupid and they don't have amnesia. Joe tried the ole "but it wasn't the Trump I know" and Deutsch countered with (paraphrasing) "it's almost as bad to be willing to play that character in order to get votes."

Joe was left having to agree. Steele said nothing.
