apparently, it's not a presidential campaign issue of any importance. Pretty much nobody will vote based on such a minor thing. Autonomous vehicles will succeed or fail based on how well they perform and their safety record. There's no real reason for a presidential candidate to take a position on them at all.

It's simply not a political issue of any significance.
