Seriously. This!

Okay, okay they have always been both. Yet the irrational loathing that the right has had against our First Black President may fade a bit for a time when our First Woman President is sworn in. I am not sure who will be loathed more. I must admit, Obama gets a few points for being a man while black. I know he was called a boy more than once, to denigrate him, yet he is in fact a man. So yes, he got some points there.

Hillary. I believe her road will be the harder one. She has been vilified for years, unprecedented hate for a strong woman. Many men do not like strength in a woman, they want us to be seen not heard and if we dare stand we are told to sit down and shut up. Sorry, we have our voice and IT WILL BE HEARD.

I hear the rumblings of a GOP implosion. The good old mans white party may never recover.

Women Rising. Bet on it!

it's wisdom borne of pain. Yes I've paid the price, but look how much I've gained - If I have to, I can face anything."

Forty plus years ago, that song became my anthem, giving me the strength and courage to leave a horribly dangerous, abusive marriage, and later build a life truly worth living. So, it has never been an embarrassment to or for me.
Also, it reminds me of Hillary, and all the crap she has endured from the evil right wing. So, there!

is there is still an element of racism within the Hillary-hate in addition to the sexism, even though she's White. The reactionaries see her as a traitor, and they see both her agenda and Obama's as "anti-White" and "anti-male", bringing forth total dominance of the country by women and by non-Whites.

Most of those old white conservatives do not go home each night to share a domicile with a black man, so its easy to blabber about incompetence or make racist jokes.
But if each evening they are sitting with their wife? Blabber on about incompetent women or make a bunch of misogynistic jokes and they might find out just how much trouble all that jawing & woofing gets them.....

A poem by Maya Angelou

You may write me down in history
With your bitter, twisted lies,
You may trod me in the very dirt
But still, like dust, I’ll rise.

This is not the first time you have seen Hillary Clinton seemingly at her wits end, but she has always risen, always risen, much to the dismay of her adversaries and the delight of her friends.

Hillary Clinton will not give up on you and all she asks of you is that you do not give up on her.

There is a world of difference between being a woman and being an old female. If you’re born a girl, grow up, and live long enough, you can become an old female.

But, to become a woman is a serious matter. A woman takes responsibility for the time she takes up and the space she occupies.

Hillary Clinton is a woman. She has been there and done that and has still risen. She is in this race for the long haul. She intends to make a difference in our country.

She is the prayer of every woman and man who long for fair play, healthy families, good schools, and a balanced economy.

She declares she wants to see more smiles in the families, more courtesies between men and women, more honesty in the marketplace. Hillary Clinton intends to help our country to what it can become.

She means to rise.

She means to help our country rise. Don’t give up on her, ever.

In fact, if you help her to rise, you will rise with her and help her make this country a wonderful, wonderful place where every man and every woman can live freely without sanctimonious piety, without crippling fear.

Rise Hillary.

Rise.

from the song referenced in this post: "Oh yes I am Wise, but it is Wisdom born of pain. Yes, I've paid the price, but look how much I gained. If I have to, I can do anything."

The "first Black President" faced and still faces similar pain. The "first" anything goes through this. I am a senior female who experienced some fear and loathing from male associates and co-workers and then, especially male subordinates in the workplace dealing with my success in some non-traditional positions. With that experience, I have these comments for this post and its comments:

Before Election Day, people, this is gonna get a whole bunch uglier. Hillary will not find the pain any more unbearable than that she has already handled. We must not either. I read she is being prepped for nasty questions about the Monica and other women mess from the past. It is my opinion this will finish the "race". She will likely get some good suggestions, but really doesn't need them as she already has the wisdom to answer.

Think about our sisters from history who literally fought the original battle to get the vote. We have inherited their power and strength.

Yes, from the original post: BET ON IT!"
