Why is Tweety so vested in getting Trump elected?

All he does is provide advice and hammer his guests to advise Trump on how to win.

I don't think it is just that he wants a close contest, I think he really really wants the old white man to win. It seems personal.

I make the 3600 mile trek every summer to the outer part of Cape Cod, a similar area, every year, because my family and I love it there. I can handle the rent for a couple of weeks, but buying a vacation house there would be out of the question for me.

He's crushed Trump at every opportunity. Because he doesn't ignore some fairly serious faults on our side doesn't mean he wants Trump to win.

You have to admit the ransom thing looks bad. It just does. Letting Trump get ahead of this flood thing looks bad. It just does. There have been a few unforced errors here, stupid things that shouldn't have happened. Reporting them doesn't put you in the other person's camp.

the facts. As for the LA flood, you are 100% wrong about looking bad. That visit is not going over well down there and has been seen for what it is, a photo op to pass out Play-Dough.

The President is going there when the Governor wants him to come.

He positions himself as being an expert of the white lower and middle class in places like PA -- because he grew up there. As any of us of the same age seem to know, places change over time. He identifies himself as being from where he grew up.

However, from the time he went to Holy Cross and later became a speech writer for Carter and an aide to influential people in Congress, then a TV talking head married to an influential woman, he became a card carrying member of the elite.

Yet in each election, he has spoken of who could "speak" to people in Pennsylvania. (As someone from NJ, it was comical when he spoke of people in PA not being able to "get" Teresa - when I knew people in NJ from PA, who switched parties, after rejecting Bush and then checking out Kerry in the primary because "he has to be a decent guy if Teresa, who they loved as Senator Heinz's wife, married him. )

When he says these people will respond to Trump's message, he shows what he thinks of these people. People that frankly he has had NO real contact with. They are NOT the people who were there when he left for college almost 50 years ago. It is interesting that where it has always been the Democratic party which has programs to benefit these people, he seems to almost always label Democrats as elites, who he claims can not speak to these people. I have never heard him speak of the elite backgrounds of GWB or Trump, though he did call Romney elite.

I suspect that he likely needs to take a few steps back and reexamine his world view. He might then see it was Trump who was given a million dollars to start his career ... not Hillary.

I'm sorry, I think your premise is nonsense.

I didn't see his show today, but my guess is he spent 5 minutes trashing Democrats instead of the full 60 trashing Trump like he did Monday and Tuesday and that means he's now "in the bag" for Trump.

It's like how Bill Maher rips right wing Christian assholes for almost an hour every week, but the five minutes he condemns Islamic radical assholes is enough for people here to declare him a bigoted Islamaphobe.

YMMV, but I doubt a man whose wife ran for Congress as a Democrat and who just this week said "I have staunch Republican family members (I'm guessing his brother) who will not even consider voting for Trump" is supporting Trump and wants him to win.

I think since Van Jones has started coughing this up on CNN, maybe NOW is the time to start piling on. Take it directly to these anchors and other taking heads via Twitter. One or two stray tweets won't make much of an impression - but if a whole bunch of us do it - in something like a growing tidal wave of criticism confirming what Van Jones has now conceded IS happening, maybe it'll stop?

I think the link indicates the climate may be changing - if only we jump on it and help it along.

All you have to do to find these folks' Twitter pages is to Google their names. It'll come up. Hell, if I can do it, ANYBODY can do it. Tweet them about it. Let 'em know you're watching and you've noticed this and it sucks and it's tremendously biased toward the GOP, and disgracefully unfair. And it needs to stop.

Paul Begala once said 100 paper letters mailed in to a newsroom would change the course of that newsroom. Wonder what a few hundred or more tweets might do?

When Andy Lack took over 2 years ago, he outright said they are taking a hard turn to the Right. These are the rules now. False equivalency. Pump up Trump, bash HRC, try to keep it even, no matter how ludicrous it is. Ratings are god. Tweety always was a go with the flow type chap.Sad ending to his career. MSNBC keeps showing a commercial where 2 guys from SNL say I LOVE CHRIS MATTHEWS. Big giant ick.
