Clinton names Warren ally to transition team

This is encouraging:

Hillary Clinton has named a progressive with close ties to Elizabeth Warren to her transition team in a move that seems aimed at mollifying liberals unhappy with earlier choices.

POLITICO has learned that Rohit Chopra, who battled for-profit colleges and loan servicers as the student loan ombudsman at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, has joined the team.

Chopra was an early hire at the consumer agency by Warren when she led it. When he was mentioned last year as a possible candidate to become New York’s top financial regulator, he won a ringing endorsement from the Massachusetts Democrat.

As if that would have magically fixed all the outreach problems from the campaign.

have been a vote of confidence for Sen. Warren being an " Ally " in the future, it's the past that worries many.

Just checking. Because it doesn't read like that to me, at all.

However, to someone who so bitterly hates Hillary that she is not allowed to be 'progressive' in any way without being accused of pandering, it might seem like a con job. I guess.

I was a Bernie supporter until Bernie supporters started with this crap, and Bernie didn't say a goddamned word about it.

Failure of leadership on Bernie's part, in my opinion.

Says volumes about what we already know about HRC, she surrounds herself with qualified people like her.
