Dear Jerk-Offs Who are Firing Their Employees

You can't blame Obamacare, nimrods. The penalties for failure to provide your employees coverage don't kick in until 2014, and if you have under 50 employees, there's no penalty at all. So how do you explain firing them now?

What petty, petty assholes you are.

You won't hear one word when they extend those hours and call back the laid off. If there's one thing they all love . . . It's money. Burgers and fries don't make themselves and coal damn sure don't float up on a whim. Ignore the temper tantrum.

The average person sees these tantrums and is reminded of how much they despise most corporate executives.
Coupled with Romney's "I like firing people" line and it makes these people look cruel and petty.

My husband is the president and co-founder of a small company. He AGONIZES over things like this. He had to lay off six people in 2009 and it was awful. He knew that these were people's lives he was affecting, their dreams, their families. He had already taken a substantial pay cut the year before, along with the other executives, hoping to avoid the layoffs. I just can't believe the flippant, callous way these people are talking about lay offs. It is disgusting and immoral. Never mind that it is also a bad business practice.

....friends and family members have lost their jobs because of their rich boss being pissed off because they couldn't buy the White House and it's going to cause the right-wing AND THE RICH to lose their "victim" status.

America already thinks of these people as assholes and this will further push the idea that these people deserve zero sympathy over a lousy few percent increase in their taxes.

Fox Noize and others are just trumpeting every single layoff as a result of the election. Not so. You tell me RIM wasn't going to fire people? That whole COMPANY is on a death watch, and it's not even specifically related to the economy, let alone health care. They were trading at over $140 in 2008. Their stock is worth about 8$ now. They are goners.

A lot of these layoffs were coming anyway, most or all for unrelated reasons.

I just think it's bad business to be so vocal about your politics, no matter which side of the aisle you're on. When you own a large fast food chain, you're bound to have people of all backgrounds patronize your business. And he also could've just raised the price of his pizzas by a few cents in order to compensate if Obamacare really bothers him that much.

That is a pretty poor business model when you only try to serve 33% of your potential customer base.

Worse yet - alienating 67% is downright foolish.

And this has gotta be one of the cleanest Presidents in history.
Not to mention, that while the actual charges get brought in the House, the SENATE is the body that actually has to hold the Trial, and either convict, or NOT (as will be the case in that Dem-controlled body).

If they even THINK that's a firecracker that won't blow their own hands off, the lot of them are so nuts they are beyond redemption as A PARTY, and it's a drama that the NEW American electorate will get to watch, live and in Prime Time.

And Daryll ISSA is the guy that gets to Chair this Circus?

Good luck with that, House Republicans...

....at the end of their fiscal year. It has absolutely nothing to do with the President being reelected or Obamacare. But, they want Americans to believe that's the primary reason so they can justify firing employees before the Holidays.

I was in Human Resources and recruiting for more than twenty-five years, so I know how this works. Happens every year just like clockwork.
