Pro-Clinton Super PAC Runs Horror Film-esque 'Trump Train' Web Ad

A new anti-Donald Trump web ad that employs creepy sound effects and an eery black-and-white aesthetic ad will run in four states Monday, ahead of the first presidential debate.

The ad, produced by the pro-Hillary Clinton super PAC Priorities USA, is geared at subverting the #TrumpTrain hashtag often used by Trump supporters, and "show people what exactly the Trump train really means," Justin Barasky, a spokesperson for Priorities USA, told TPM.

The web ad features the sound and look of a horror film, while playing Trump pronouncements on gay marriage, minimum wage, a Muslim ban and abortion. It culminates with a train speeding towards the camera as "Nov. 8," "Stop the Trump Train," and "Vote Hillary" flashes on the screen.

Priorities USA made a six-figure buy to run the ad online in Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Florida and Ohio. Barasky said it is unclear exactly how much Priorities will ultimately spend on the buy, as the group may run the ad beyond Monday.

Priorities USA should be able to do much better than that.

HRC's ads have been brilliant.
