Whether or not one believes pot is addictive, it is a coping mechanism, and all coping mechanisms are habitual. The sudden loss of any coping mechanism has fallout.

Or. He's always been a freak.
Or. He's permanently baked. It's a cake now. The eggs have long since fried.

I'm willing to go with any of those because it doesn't matter. He's not presidential timber, and never will be.

He doesn't strike me as an occasional user, especially given how quick that "seven weeks" answer flew out of his mouth. I'm surprised he didn't rattle off the days and hours too.

I think it's a 50 or so year heavy-user-habit with that guy, and it shows.
