Where are the Hill yard signs? I just spent $20 for a piece of thin plastic that will rip....

....in the first strong wind. It will not last the season.

Meanwhile, at the same local HQ I picked up a sturdy sign for Salud Carbajal that will last for years. All I have to do is stow it behind the bookcase the way I did with the one I had for outgoing Congresswoman Lois Capps. For FREE.

I'm irked.

1. Seriously, how many people are going to complain about yard signs like they matter?

First it was the guy whose "Facebook friend" was mad that he hadn't gotten his sign yet, and was basically announcing his switch to Trump because he didn't feel "catered to" by the Clinton campaign. Now this?

JFC.

...I posted this personal experience. Because I am momentarily irked. Because laying out $20 for a flimsy piece of plastic may be more than some people want to spend on top of their other donation. Because frankly it should be free or nearly so.

I've been a supporter of Hillary Clinton since 2008, and nothing will change that. How about you?

I know there are pro-Trump voters around northern CO and so I won't take the chance that they might decide to vandalize--or worse. Ugly folks, those...

9. If you get it online, you have to pay. If you get it from a local Democratic office, it's free.

I bought mine in July and got it early September.

I put it in my bedroom window facing the street. Tried to put it up outside but, you're right, it's incredibly flimsy and wouldn't stay up. I then thought about nailing it to my lamp post on the street. But, I figured it would give some Trump supporter too easy a target.

It was a strategic decision. The money instead went to organzing and get out the votes efforts. Trump on the other hand did the opposite. They only have a few field offices in virgina and they are mainly for people to come in and get signs. By contrast, the HRC campaign has hundreds of offices that serves as rallying points for volunteers to place phone calls or go canvas.
