I have a hunch we haven't seen the last of Trumps tax free years.

I have no proof. No one sent me a package in the mail, but.... The $916M in losses that Trump declared back in 1995 would have either been used up by now or expired. In a situation like that, a taxpayer can write off those losses going 3 years back and 15 years forward for a total of 18 years. Now that period of time should have run its course by 2012 at the latest and Trump being the visionary he is, the GENIUS that he is, would have been in search of new losses to replace them long before that date. Believe me, if I can imagine it, you can bet that Trump can. BIGLY.

Well guess what happened in September 2001, in New York. Yes, a terrorist attack. We know that Trump had a business located in the Manhattan area because he applied for and received some kind of grant that was given for businesses that were impacted by the destruction of the World Trade Center attack even though he was caught on camera saying that his business in that area was not impacted by the attack. But then again we know that Trump never would let a disaster go to waste, would he? If he lied to get free grant money from the city, he'd lie to come up with fake losses to support the free grant money that he received, and to keep moving the timeline forward for which he can offset new losses against future income.

Well guess what happened around September 2008. Yes, the Financial disaster of 2008 happened. Our entire financial system collapsed and property values plummeted. Once again Trump would never allow a disaster to go to waste. Since he's a GENIUS, I'm sure he was capable of concocting some kind of business loss out of the situation. Who knows? New York Properties sold at UUUGGGEEEE losses. (Possibly to the Eric Trump Foundation or the lady who wrote Melania Trump's plagarized speech for the GOP Convention.) Construction projects started and cancelled. Properties sold and later clients backed out resulting in revenue lost. You name it. If I can imagine it, (and I don't even pretend to have the imagination and resources that Trump does,) I'm certain Trump could conjure up some MAJOR losses to write off, originating out of the biggest financial collapse since the Great Depression. Stay Tuned.

Maybe whomever sent the NY Times those tax documents might share with the NY Times any other UUUGGGEEEE business losses Trump might have experienced since 1995 to keep his gravy train rolling. I know they're out there. I would think less of Trump if there weren't. After all he's a GENIUS. Rudi Guiliani and Chris Christie said so.

I suspect that if Trump loses, he will depart the US and become a tax exile. Algernon Moncrieff Oct 2016 #1
Why would he leave when his "scams" are codified in the Tax Code? politicaljunkie41910 Oct 2016 #2

I don't think he's going anywhere. The man knows no shame. Besides he needs the daily adulation of an adoring public who thinks he's the smartest person in the room.
