after trump loses (and the lawsuits and indictments roll in) the media will pat itself on the back
the media will go through a brief period of self-serving "introspection" and decide that ultimately, they system worked.
they'll take credit for exposing trump as the bigoted fraudster bully with the temperament and wisdom of a spoiled child.
of course, we all know it was the media's irresponsible lust for eyeballs that made trump possible, that got him one looks-silly-in-a-tank moment away from the presidency. they will briefly raise that question during their "introspection", but ultimately decide that in the end, they got it right, thank us very much.
and they learn nothing and pave the way for the next clown.
