For the St Lucie, Florida Voter Fraud Crowd

There has been some talk in reich wing circles about the massive voter fraud in St Lucie Florida. Their argument is, "Out of 175,554 registered voters, 247,713 vote cards were cast in St. Lucie County, Florida on Tuesday. Barack Obama won the county."

The key part of their argument is "VOTE CARDS." I went to the St Lucie County election site and they readily admit this is true. But here's the nub... According to the county every voter was given 2 cards: 1 for President, Senate, etc and 1 for Amendments. So, if you turned in both of the ballots you filled out 2 Vote Cards. If you sent in only one card you were credited with1 vote card.

So if every registered voter turned in both cards their number would have been 351,108 VOTE CARDS, not VOTERS.

What's the sense of even trying to reason with these nuts?
This is the same crowd that was shouting down all of us who were protesting in 2000 in West Palm Beach.

They use the flag - the same flag that Allen West disrespected in uniform.

Because people who are not crazy hear that and can be persuaded, especially since it's factually correct, that voter fraud occurred

2. Thanks for putting this up. I hope that FL will enact mail-in voting soon.

Which creates paper ballots, not digital votes that people worry about with good cause. And would eliminate the hassle of long lines and all the other stunts pulled this year. And thanks again, Florida, for standing up.

Now we are ALL absentee. The closest you can get to standing in a line is to put your mail-in ballot into a state drop box. Otherwise, it's all through the mail. No more weather obstacles, voter ID or being harrassed, thats is all settled by the time you register. A signature, phone number and email along with street address are suggested in case there is a question. And a stamp. We sit and look over a huge pamphlet in the comfort of our homes. The lines are unnecessary and they have led to wingnuts abusing voters.

7. I don't know about FL, but in OH anyone can vote absentee.

SOS Husted send every voter an application for an absentee ballot.
Yet people clearly want to vote in person.
I am not in favor of complete mail in system at all.
A driver's license proof is required? Not everybody has a driver's license. We went through all these lawsuits regarding voter ID, now you are advocating of switching to a system where driver's license proof is required? What are people who don't have a license to do?

I was thinking about another form. Getting a DL or State ID can be difficult. We can register and change information online, or go to the DL office, which is where many update theirs.

I was making suggestions to help Florida. We like this system here, so does Oregon.

Here's our requirements, do you see a problem?

You can register to vote if you are:

A citizen of the United States.
A legal resident of Washington State.
At least 18 years old by Election Day.
Not under the authority of the Department of Corrections.
and
Not disqualified from voting due to a court order.

9. Any voter can vote absentee in FL if they want to. They don't need a reason.

Obviously many people prefer to vote in person.
