PoliticusUSA: Trump Is Throwing Tantrums And Refusing To Prepare For Second Presidential Debate

An inside look at Trump's debate preparation reveals a candidate who is throwing tantrums while refusing to sit down and study ahead of the second presidential debate.

=snip=

The Washington Post went inside the Trump campaign and found an ugly situation brewing:

As his motorcade pulled into Denver’s Ritz-Carlton hotel for the night, Trump was in a fury. He lashed out at aides for booking such luxurious accommodations, saying he would have preferred to stay at a Holiday Inn Express — a chain he considers reliably clean — as he did on occasion during the primaries, according to three people familiar with the episode who spoke on the condition of anonymity for fear of retribution.

RNC platform positions, he would still get his clock cleaned by Hillary as the Ds have the policies that work, that are inclusive and that the country wants by a wide margin.

What a fool he was to go against her, what with her many years of public service and tons of experience

He made a huge mistake in thinking he could tackle her

1. They ARE reliably clean. Doing a lot of business travel in all sorts of accommodations, the one thing HI Express has going for it is the reliable sameness. Not necessary the most luxurious accommodations, but you know what you are getting and get the same thing every time. Westin Hotels, for example, have really comfy beds, but they seem to have gotten into this "signature scent" thing in which there is an odd smell in each one of them, ranging from "hint of vanilla" to "tropical mold".

2. "I'm not an expert, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express"

I think it is entirely possible that Trump is studying, studying and taking part in mock town halls. The info being "leaked" from the campaign could be a big false narrative.

I hope that is not the case and Trump is not preparing at all. Not that it matters because after what I saw in the first debate, I am confident that Hillary will out shine even a prepared Trump. No matter how well he does, it won't be enough to reverse the momentum Hillary has.

Historical fact: No Presidential candidate who was ahead in the polls after the first debate has ever lost the election.

He and his staff are thinking about zingers. It's all they can hope for that he can land one for the MSM to play ad nauseam. It's too late to distill the loser out of the man.

Could be a red herring but I don't see how, in a million years, he could ever come close to winning (or even making a quasi-reasonable showing at the next debate(s))

What a horrible person -- and -- as Letterman says -- what a "damaged" person.

Contrast this person with Obama, Hillary, Bill, Biden, Bernie, Elizabeth, Harry, Merkley, Patrick Leahy, Blumenthal, Sharrod Brown, etc.

Not close by any stretch of the imagination!

I'm also a tad skeptical because I distinctly remember reading a story, not long after the first debate, stating that Trump had advised his surrogates and those close to the campaign not to let the media know that he's going to prep a lot harder for the 2nd debate.

Taking that into consideration, it seems just as plausible that whoever leaked this story is just following orders and making it seem as though he still isn't prepping.
