Trump has ONE strategy for tonight; Hillary is ready for multiple contingencies

Trump can't focus, can't learn, can't prep. He had no plan for the first debate. His handlers are hoping, HOPING that he can have one plan for tonight and stick to it.

Lots of problems with that, chief among them being that they can't control the questions he will be asked. He's like the tourist who plans on visiting France and learns how to ask a few questions in French but doesn't have the capacity to understand the answers that those questions will elicit.

Hillary - on the other hand - is ready to handle multiple scenarios as they develop in real time. Fact is, she has done so many townhalls and debates that she doesn't even have to do any prep. But being smart, she prepped like crazy, doing the hard work in advance of the event so that everything will look natural and effortless during the debate.

All that need happen is for the audience or the moderators to ask a question that moves Trump off the script he will cling to by the thinnest of threads. If they can't or won't move him off, the it will be Hillary who will pull another Machado moment out of her bag of surprises to disarm and destroy the man who would be Groper-in-chief.

I expect she has been working on the non-verbal stuff. The shimmy was among the most effective moments of the first debate. This time, she needs to have an expression that says (non-verbally) "What was that we just heard? OK, we'll all get out of here alive if we just remain calm and don't do anything to enrage this lunatic."

If she can pull that off, that can be the first 7 seconds of her response. Then she can basically just ignore him by saying something like "Oooo-kaaaaay. Not sure what that was. I believe the question was about what can we do to help the folks who have lost industrial jobs and find they don't have the skill sets employers are looking for today. Let me give you ideas ..."
