But I think anyone voting for Trump at this point is hardly "good people" or at the very least intensely stupid.

They are still good people, but also ignorant, gullible, and very stubborn. Charitably, I have to believe they've been brainwashed. Its put a terrible strain on my family.

I think he's right to say that a lot of good people are voting for Trump, in that there are a lot of people who grew up with Walter Cronkite and still believe that Fox News--they have "News" in their name, for gosh sakes, and they couldn't possibly get away with broadcasting lies-- wouldn't be allowed to broadcast things that aren't true. People who aren't going to Trump rallies and haven't been exposed to Trump's racist words and who are only hearing that Hillary wants to take your guns away and close down all the churches--people who are simply credulous but not ill-intentioned--can be good.
