Related: About this forumMichelle Obama is DRAGGING Trump right now! FLOTUS like a butterfly sting like a bee
She is arguably the best surrogate that Hillary has. Female, woman of color, scandal free. I dare...DARE Donald Trump to go after her. That is a fight he doesn't want.

(24,207 posts)Michelle should give a stump speech everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.
This is a full court press and Donald has no idea what is coming still.

(1,048 posts)Everyone knows who she is talking about and that is part of the brilliance of her speeches. She doesn't give him the significance of mentioning his name. She talks about him as "that guy" or "the other candidate" or "her opponent". You know that bugs him.

(833 posts)About a week ago, I decided I would no longer use this (alleged) man's name. That's granting him too much dignity. So he's been "the creep" in my posts.

(179,005 posts)Go Michelle. She's a great choice to give this speech. The short-fingered vulgarian, try though he might, can't cast aspersions (asparagus?) at the Obamas, especially now that he's said he's accepted the birth certificate.

(4,558 posts)I would just die of laughter if the first act President Clinton takes is to nominate Michele Obama to fill Scalia's seat that the obstructionist Republicans have dragged their feet on throughout this year.

(17,564 posts)I personally would love to see President Hillary Clinton's nominee to SCOTUS be......
ANITA HILL
I would love to see the GOP in the Senate confirmation hearings try to stop her after everything that they did to her previously and after the disgusting behavior with Trump.
And then to see not only the first black woman on the Supreme Court, but that every day that Clarence Thomas would have to see her face and argue against her.

(4,558 posts)President Obama could also be that nomination. He wouldn't be the first ex-President to serve on the SCOTUS, and he most certainly is qualified.
Anita Hill would also be a GREAT choice though.
As near as I can tell Michele has no interest at all in a future run for POTUS. At least that's how it sounded in the couple of times I've seen the question posed to her.. but I've no doubt she'd make a damn great one.

(478 posts)About 35 years ago, I was working in an office, with a male boss. As he would walk around, checking on our work, he would give us all "neck rubs". It was uncomfortable as hell.
After I was passed over for a promotion (to fill a spot vacated by a maternity leave), I overheard him say something like "Well I couldn't promote her, (me) because what if she got pregnant just like so and so?
I did report him to HR, got the promotion and a raise, and an apology. But her speech brought a lot back.
I will miss Michelle Obama.

Tonight when Rachel ran her remarks again, I was sitting down watching TV so got the full impact of her speech. Her words so gentle, but so powerful, just wonderful She's the best!
