CNN president: Airing so many full Trump rallies was a 'mistake'

"CNN's president says he regrets giving so much airtime to Donald Trump and his rallies on the network early in the campaign season.

"If we made any mistake last year, it's that we probably did put too many of his campaign rallies in those early months and let them run," Jeff Zucker said at Harvard Kennedy School, according to BuzzFeed. "Listen, because you never knew what he would say, there was an attraction to put those on the air."

Zucker, who was the president of NBC Entertainment when "The Apprentice" was first on TV said that even then Trump was a "publicity magnet."

"Trump delivered on PR, he delivered on big ratings," Zucker said."

You probably stop and gawk at every roadside accident as well.

So why are you paying so many trump enablers and defenders to be on now?

Anderson Cooper is now reduced to giving equal time to the blather of intellectually challenged Trumpsters, defending sexual predators, in a Jerry Springer atmosphere. You don't see much of David Gergan now...he probably is sickened. The people who have some knowledge of political history and integrity, Bagala, Axlerod. .. are drowned out by idiots. I can't change the channel fast enough when they start.

... and the polling that he's basing everything on. I mean, seriously... are people in the "red states" TRULY that dumb? Do they hate Hillary SO much (or Democrats in general) that they'd sell their soul and put their entire country (and the world) at risk?

It's frightening to realize how many idiots there are out there.

watch CNN since the friggin primaries started & it still hasn't stopped! Trump 24/7 on CNN & MSNBC hadn't been much better until recently. I have caught up with shows on Netflix tho.

Mr. Zucker you are guilty of trying to influence our elections and should hang your head in shame.

they realize their part in and responsibility for bringing the nation down to this level. That's important. Hopefully their after-election coverage will be more responsible and not encourage acting out by these monsters they very much helped create.
