'There's less than a month to go until Election Night, and one of the nation's largest TV network has admitted its made a mistake in its coverage.
CNN perhaps aired too much of Republican nominee Donald Trump.
"If we made a mistake, [it was] we shouldn't have put on as many [Trump] rallies as we did," CNN President Jeff Zucker told Washington Post political correspondent Lois Romano Friday, speaking at an event at Harvard Kennedy School's Institute of Politics.'>>>

(3,739 posts)The uncensored media gave some people, subjectively deluded, holed-up and not out in the world, the idea that Trump's pets were more numerous than they are.
Most Trump supporters would not last a week in any city, where uncivil people are, but civility reigns. Were PC behavior not known as the only appropriate behavior, we would have no approbation about poorly civilized, nasty behavior.
Morality is PC.
The golden rule is not a mandate from above, it is a manifestation from within the heart of mindful people.

Trump has been 'massaged' by the media while they squeezed out his entertainment value to enhance their own particular media brand.
The Donald was always toxic. You don't get points for self-inflicted blindness.

(6,286 posts)The media played a dangerous game this election season. It looks as if we got lucky, but I won't feel good for awhile. The next guy might be as evil as Trump, but not as stupid. A more likeable version of Cruz and we could have been in real trouble.

(20,819 posts)You're about fifteen months too late to the party. And thanks to you and the other media whores, you gave him a platform and legitimized his campaign when it should have been a laughable footnote in history from the very fucking beginning. But you had to put ratings and profits above all else, especially the good of the country, didn't you? Fuck you ALL.

(2,505 posts)... that despite the obvious hypocrisy of CNN' president. The over-coverage of Trump has effectively helped destroy Trump.
You could just as easily read between the lines here to think: "Gee, we'd better stop covering Trump so much, because we're helping to destroy him. Best to cut down"
Also CNN's contrition, even if sincere is a bit bloody late! Excuse my language, but f*** off jerk!

Brent Budowsky, a former Hill staffer and media commentator, emailed Podesta to express his concern about the relative weakness of Clintons candidacy.
Right now I am petrified that Hillary is almost totally dependent on Republicans nominating Trump, Budowsky said in a March email. [E]ven a clown like Ted Cruz would be an even money bet to beat and this scares the hell of out me.
Budowsky suggested that Clinton look for issues where she can dovetail with Bernie [Sanders] to appeal to his supporters. Budowsky also suggested that Clintons knocks against Sanders were unfair, saying she should stop attacking him especially when she says things that are untrue, which candidly she often does.
