Related: About this forumWikileaks: Julian Assange's internet access 'cut'
The transparency activist has been claiming asylum at London's Ecuadorean embassy since 2012 to avoid extradition over sex assault allegations.
There was no way to immediately verify if he had been knocked offline, and if so, how a state actor was suspected.

Notice that the Ecuadorian embassy is not screaming about losing THEIR access, which is what would have to happen if we were doing it.
I think they finally realized
a) President HRC is gonna happen
b) They want to be friends with President HRC

(8,795 posts)Its bizarre, but true: on Saturday, the former Baywatch star surprised many by paying Assange a visit at the Ecuadorian embassy, bringing with her some bags from the popular U.K. sandwich chain Pret A Manger.
The Canadian-American actress, 49, came bearing gifts for Assange, saying she supported him and had concerns for his family and well-being. She told the U.K.s Press Association that her gifts included a nice vegan lunch and some vegan snacks. Assange was apparently unimpressed with the meal choice. He said I tortured him with bringing him vegan food, she added.
Andersons visit has sparked possibly the most ridiculous of all the theories that she killed him with her food. GET ASSANGE OUT OF THERE AND INTO HIDING. How do we know that Pamela Anderson isnt working 4 someone to set up him up? wrote one Twitter user.

A low level IT person could do it. Maybe Ecuador is tired of being used in international election rigging.

I can get to this page: ecuador.embassyhomepage.com
Any of the links I try to follow from that page give me an "unavailable" error, specifically "The web page which you had requested is not available at present. Please use the search tool below to find the answer you want."
I've tried to access consular, passport, and visa pages from the page in the above link.
Note: this is a duplicate of my post in the LBN thread on the same subject.
Perhaps I have a script blocked or something that's interfering with my attempts to connect?

(7,287 posts)but if you mouse-hover over the links, they just identify as HTML links.
If they still don't work for you, I've no idea what's up. If they work for you now but didn't earlier, it could have been bandwidth issues if a lot of folks were checking them out at the same time (or it could have just been routine maintenance or some other sort of downtime).
