700 Christian women revolt against pro-Trump pastors: ‘The sin of misogyny’ causes sexual assault

700 Christian women revolt against pro-Trump pastors: ‘The sin of misogyny’ causes sexual assault
David Edwards DAVID EDWARDS 17 OCT 2016 AT 13:11 ET

A letter from over 700 Christian women this week admonished religious leaders who continue to support Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump after he bragged about groping women without their permission.

Many male evangelical leaders — like Pat Robertson, Tony Perkins and James Dobson — have only doubled down on their support of Trump in light of recent allegations that he has abused at least nine women.

The Christian Post reported on Monday that over 700 Christian women had come forward to speak out against the GOP nominee and the church leaders who support him.

“As Christian women we are appalled by Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump’s recorded remarks that disparage women and condone sexual assault. Such language cannot be dismissed as ‘locker room talk,'” the letter states. “The sin of misogyny has caused many of us to experience sexual assault or sexually abusive language that threatened our safety, dignity and well-being.”

trump is not a christian man and these women know it. it is easy to see if you just pay attention. he only values money and the old white boys club and does not give a crap about spirituality or doing the lords work when it comes to actually helping people that are in need of charitable help.

There is nothing truly Christian about James Dobson, Tony Perkins, Ralph Reed OR Pat Robertson.

My aunt who was vehemently disgusted by Trump voted for Hillary in the primaries. Then she got this pamphlet/booklet from catholicvote.org and she is now supporting Trump. She is a hardcore Catholic, and I read that booklet and I can't believe how she just fell for it. It basically says that the USA is in a "war" against Catholics. It mentions cases like Bakeries being fined in a discrimination lawsuit for not making cakes for gay marriages. It also mentioned how the supreme court passed the marriage equality act even though that is not what our founding fathers meant by marriage (according to them). It also mentions of course that we are killing millions of babies because of abortion and that some employers are upset that their health insurance coverage for their employees covers abortions/contraceptions. So now my aunt drank the kool-aid and said "I detest Trump, but I can't have Hillary's policies kill more babies." I stopped talking to her. Ugh.
