By Reid Wilson and Joe DiSipio - 10/22/16 04:11 PM EDT
Hillary Clintons presidential campaign has built a field team in swing-states across the country that is larger than a U.S. Army brigade, giving her a huge advantage over Republican Donald Trump on Election Day.
Between Clintons presidential campaign, the Democratic National Committee and state party operations, campaign finance reports show Democrats employ 5,138 staffers across 15 battleground states.
Clinton is funding the army through tens of millions of dollars raised for state Democratic Parties across the country. Campaigns are won on the ground which is why we invested early to organize and register voters in this historic election, said Lily Adams, a spokeswoman for Clintons campaign.
By contrast, Trumps campaign, the Republican National Committee and state parties employ just 1,409 staffers in 16 states.
Trumps campaign has shown little interest in investing in a ground operation.

(7,241 posts)Too many to post (and some maybe best not made too much fuss about at this stage).
If you have some time, take a look at this prime example of Trumpet trolling (LONG read): https://twitter.com/randygdub/status/787747220267278336

(8,961 posts)I have a twitter account but haven't really figured out how to find anything on my own, when I go to the front page there are no navigation bars, not even anything that divides it up by subject (like 'politics' or 'current events')
The only thing close to navigation bars is a 'trends' list on the left side, and that is only 10 items out of everything on twitter... oh well, maybe I'm a slow learner

(7,241 posts)The Trumpets are paranoid enough as it is. It was kinda fun to see them wasting so much time and energy on a sly, daft troll, but it just feeds the narrative.
I don't have a Twitter account myself ( I reckon I'd just end up getting in endless fights and life's too short), but I check it out a lot - very handy for breaking news, and some of it's very amusing.
Here's a Twitter list that may be handy at the moment: https://twitter.com/RichardA/lists/top-50-us-2012-elections
It was put together by a Guardian journalist for the 2012 election, and it brings together some Twitter feeds from across the political spectrum - journalists, RWers, party apparatchiks etc. It can get a bit confusing as the tweets intertwine in time, but I use it a lot.

(19,066 posts)A superior ground game can make a 2-3 point difference. With these margins maybe even more. So if Hilary and Donald are tied in OH in the polls, she should win by 2-3 points.
