I think he must absolutely hate that ad more than any other. He thought he was making an awesome entrance, but ended up looking ridiculous. And now his ridiculous entrance is being used in a very derogatory mocking ad. Love it.

I don't know which one you're talking about. We don't get the ads in California that many states get. There are no big exciting rallys (that I've known of). It's a tradeoff. We get to be solidly democratic. I wouldn't want give that up for anything.

I wish all of the ads were available on her website. This one shows Trump making his entrance on the last day of the Repub convention with the quotes he has made disparaging people captioning it. I'll post a link if I can find it.

My son told me the Panhandle once was solid-block Democrat territory, but it all changed when LBJ signed the Civil Rights Bill and school segregation took effect.
But, I do sense a shift in the winds.

(segregationists) broke away and formed the "Dixiecrats" party. Democrats in the South were never socially liberal by any stretch of the imagination, though. I have distinct memories of "Whites Only" & "Colored Only" signs on drinking fountains and rest rooms as late as 1962 in the town I grew up in. Schools there remained segregated until around 1970 when "forced" busing integrated public schools.

Unlike the good people there now, I gave up and got out as quickly as I was able. When I visited several months ago I was appalled at how the prejudice I knew as a child was still being practiced, this time in the form of support for Donald Trump. The people I spoke with liked him because "he won't give everything away to the Blacks." Felt really good when I arrived back home in Portland.

fighting hard for equality and justice. Can't blame you for making a move, but I just wanted to remind folks this region is by no means all Trumpland.

I live here in Pensacola, but I missed Bill's visit. Did he get a good turn-out? Any more pics?

I'm honestly surprised he came here, with such a strong Trump influence in Pensacola, but I'm glad he did. We need more of that here.

Too many Dems around Pensacola are afraid to come out of the closet...for fear of retribution from the crazies. I own a business here, and I have to be very careful when a customer starts talking politics. And when they get started, they don't stop. I've heard it all...from racial comments about the President to idle threats toward Democratic officials. Anti-liberal bumper stickers are everywhere, as well as Confederate flags...and Trump signs litter the roadway. Not to mention, nearly every Saturday the local Christian college sends out men with bibles to the various busy intersections here to scream the "word" to anyone with their windows down at the red light. I can't tell you how many times I've been in a group of cars and some dude with a white shirt, tie, and a bible have told us all that we are going to hell.

Luckily, we have voices from Pensacola like Mike Papantonio to take some of the edge off, but finding a kindred spirit here is difficult.

Another 400 were still outside watching.
