WikiLeaks has become a flat-out Russian dis-information propaganda organization

If WikiLeaks was actually leaking truly hacked emails the hackers would release all sorts of information dealing with a wide range of subjects. Plus Julian Assange would be more defensive about his sources and their reputation. Assange would not let the press get away with calling his sources Russian intelligence. Notice how he ignores the subject?

WikiLeaks didn't steal the files.

A friend of mine is convinced that Assange is currently being held on a military base in NC. This was after Wiki's fact-less twitter post the other day about armed guards out front of the embassy. My friend has gone from Sanders to Trump. It's amazing.

To me, "disinformation" means the spreading of false statements. I personally am not tight with any of the people listed as senders or recipients in WikiLeaks document dump during this election season, so I have no way of knowing -- but my impression is that no one has come forward and said "I sent or received that email and what WikiLeaks released has been altered" or "I'm named on that email and it's a complete forgery."

Is any of this "propaganda"? Well, during the Cold War, the USSR routinely tried to deflect criticism of its own human rights record by pointing to the defects of the United States. Thus the statement "And you are lynching Negroes" was a staple of Communist propaganda.

It also happened to be true. I'm not prepared to dismiss a statement just because it serves some bad actor's propaganda purposes.

This year, the allegation of Russian involvement in the theft of private emails has, properly, received much attention. It's received so much attention that it may have obscured the refutation of the accuracy of any part of the data dump. At least, it may have obscured it for someone like me, who hasn't been paying a lot of attention. Has there been a good-faith dispute as to the accuracy of any the purported emails?
