Let's not forget this simple truth about the deplorables: they're also irredeemable
People focus so much on Hillary correctly terming Trump supporters as deplorables that they forget that she called them irredeemables in the same breath.
Based on what I'm seeing these days in my FB feed, there are a lot of irredeemables out there. These are people who continue to believe the lies told about Hillary, no matter who has debunked the lies, no matter how long they have been debunked. They scream about Benghazi, emails and every other lie they hear. Trump resurrects the lie that Hillary was fired from the Watergate investigation, boom!: that's now a FACT among the irredeemables.
Here's the deal: a significant number of people voting for Trump are truly irredeemable. They will never discount the lies told about Hillary or the Ds in general. Jeebus could return and they wouldn't believe him were he to expose the lies. These people are living in a parallel reality of lies, victim hood, privilege and fear. Nothing is ever going to disencumber them of their wacko worldview.
We need to accept that these people are irredeemable, to kick them to the curb and be done with them. We waste our precious time and energy attempting to reclaim these people to a sane and decent society. Every second spent on such a futile effort takes away from our using our precious energies elsewhere.
We'll need to move on, as the saying goes. There's work to be done. Best we focus our attentions where it will do the most good.
