@%&# Scott Adams.

I hate it when someone you thought well of turns out to be the worst kind of human being on the goddamned planet. When someone who once made you laugh turns out to be a GODDAMNED ASSHOLE.

I still can't get my mind around any American voting for That One. But someone who can read -- someone who can do basic math -- especially someone like Scott Adams who once made a sort-of decent comic strip --

Well, it's not remotely Doonesbury, or distantly Far Side, and not even a millionth as wise as Calvin And Hobbes, or The Boondocks --

But I used to think it was reasonably humorous.

Really, I look at it now and I think -- this guy wants to push humanity's head under the water and hold it there because he craves a strong daddy figure, or he's got some sexual thing that's just taken over his whole brain, or he's just always been really stupid and nobody knew, or maybe it's just early onset dementia and he just needs help. After all, he's just about to tick 60. Maybe it's freaked him out.

Stupid or Evil? It's always the same GODDAMNED QUESTION, SCOTT.

This election is forever. The last four elections have been forever, but this one is really, truly, Forever. And at this moment in history, at this point in human development, this man cannot tell right from wrong AT ALL. He. Votes. Doom.

And worse, he has to tell us all about it. So there goes his career.

Because fuck Scott Adams.

He, among all people, should know that a lot of what protected the white guy privilege was incompetence and arrogance. Hard to believe this is the same guy who channeled female rage so well in his "must control fist of death" memes where Competent Alie had to clean up the bosses mess.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alice_(Dilbert)

note this part:
Alice is depicted as being one of the hardest-working engineers in the comic. She was at one time the highest paid engineer in the company,[3] and on another occasion she was feted for receiving her fourteenth patent.[4] She stands in contrast with Wally, who does no work and receives nearly the same reward.

Alice suffers all the problems of being a female engineer. She has no tolerance for the discrimination she experiences.

Yet, all because rich man adams has to pay more taxes (GOD, if only some of us had that problem) he becomes a thug. Here's a new flash, the billionaire eat millionaires for lunch, and sooner or later they will feed on you.

4. There has always been a deep level of confusion in Scott's view of work life and life in general.

His strip has always contained an implicit critique of the corporate world, and people on the anti-corporate left was among the biggest fans of his strip in its early days. Yet he has always gone to great lengths to distance himself from and attack anti-corporate groups and to show himself as an opponent of any change in the economic system and any efforts to regulate corporate power or humanize the corporate work culture.

He may be scared and conflicted about the implications of his own work.

5. I remember Scott Adams (I thought cynically) predicting Trump would win...

...but are you saying he's explicitly come out and said he wants Trump to win, that he's endorsing Trump, voting for Trump?

You can't, and he's just another reactionary rich "Libertarian" blowhard who sucks Alpo in print.

As you note above, fuck Scott Adams.

7. Reasonably humorous, perhaps, but I found the tone to be off-putting

Poor Dilbert, mind and soul wounded every day by...lazy co-workers and...cubicle life.

Did Dilbert live paycheck to paycheck, wondering if the next medical crisis or vehicular mishap would be a financial catastrophe?

Did Dilbert agonize over treating the family to a dinner and a movie once in awhile, wondering if they could afford it?

Did Dilbert ever worry that the modest pay bumps every year might finally inch him out of being able to keep his kids on the school' free & reduced school lunch program?

So, yea, I chuckled a few times here and there wen reading it over the years, but it wasn't at all relatable.
