Anyone know if the owner of Free Republic published an "I Told You So" ?

As I recall, he pretty much hates Mitt Romney and (maybe?) banned people from and for endorsing him.

Does he imagine himself as some sort of guru now?

1. From what I read on here

he changed his tune as soon as Mittens was the nominee.

2. If memory serves he did the same thing in 2008 - denounced McCain throughout the primaries....

only to get on board when he was the eventual nominee. I think he may have tried to spin his reversal as having something to do with Palin though.


Either way, it's just another form of the blatant hypocrisy that exists on the site. But, what do you expect from an operation that has quarterly fund-raisers to support the technological fossil that is their website?

3. They talk about how bad this site design is as well,

or they did a few years ago. The few times I've been there it is so hard to decipher who's responding to who and about what... it's almost like a mob forum. Basically, state your piece and everyone agrees or disagrees and you just get the gist. You can't have a real back and forth if there's more than 1 or 2 people commenting.
