Sorry if some are offended, but, as a psychologist, who helped survivors of incest, this has been bothering me for a long time.

I read an article yesterday (sorry, can't find a link) wherein Donald's kids are described as isolated, their way of life was summed up as "yes daddy".

In Ivanka's case, that "yes daddy" includes enduring his inappropriate behavior. As long as she plays along she gets whatever she wants. If she doesn't her life becomes hell.

If she is a victim then people discussing it really is quite cruel towards her.

I knew a woman whose father molested her from a very, very young age. We were not close, but I knew her quite well as her older brother was a neighbor and she stayed there for awhile. This woman was molested for most of her childhood and she did not know anything else. After she was an adult she did not leave the situation and the sexual relations with her father continued. I hesitate to say that she consented because clearly she was severely messed up emotionally over the abuse, but she was not forced to participate. This situation was discovered when the father's girlfriend found video tapes of father and daughter together when she was an adult. The girlfriend went to the police and the father went to prison. Even after he got out the daughter still went to see him.

Part of me felt horrible for this woman and the other part of me wanted to just slap her and shake her and tell her to stay the hell away from him.

All I know is that this type of situation is extremely complex and messed up. I hope that this never happened to Ivanka. If it did, I hope she is in therapy and it's not something to joke about.
