I haven't watched CNBS for over a decade now, but I pegged Joe Kernen as the right wing hack he was ages ago, and that CNBS still employs this creep speaks volumes on just how insignificant CNBS is.

(50,986 posts)would be our first president named 'Evan,' wouldn't he?
So that's at least something.
He may make some waves in Utah, but I don't think his chances anyplace else are especially great. That said, I do predict he will out-poll Joe Exotic.
Yes, polling numbers can be off, but there is a wide tide (!) of polling suggesting that Clinton-Kaine are headed to a robust election in just a couple weeks.
The guy yelling "Brexit! Brexit!" might as well have yelled "Dewey! Truman!" or "Save the Whales!" or "Vikings Suck!" or anything else he wanted, and the November 8th vote will not be impacted by it.
See above paragraph for new bumper sticker suggestions.

(100 posts)A US election is not like Brexit for one the simple reason that we have US elections every 4 years.
Polling and GOTV infrastructures are incredibly more scientific in the US election. It has been honed over multiple cycles and through each cycle, errors have been identified through analysis or postmortem and adjustments are made for the next cycle.
Brexit was a once in a century event. Polling was rudimentary at best. The remain camp had no GOTV effort. Complacency was rampant.
The US elections was like this. Remember Dewey vs. Truman. However, today with the introduction of big data analysis and vote tracking, the chances of a Dewey vs. Truman or a Brexit in the US Presidential election is remote.
This Brexit scenario is only being presented by people who have not studied US elections.
