Time to avoid all cable "news" channels indefinitely

For me from today.

They just churn out the same rubbish day after day.

A collection of short segments punctuated with long sessions of ads.

So until election night good riddance.

It is important to me to pay attention to what the idiots are saying also. I watch ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, FOX, and also check in with all the crazies' websites also. Drudge, Alex Jones, Free Republic and a nice variety of others are great fun to enjoy.

Doesn't actually give me heartburn or anything. Just makes sure I know what I need to know to properly identify idiots.

and my life is infinitely better for it.

(Though I do wish there were someone of Ellerbee's stature doing a middle of the night newscast.)

Just remember: There's no hope they'll ever change if we continue to support them. The propaganda of course has its own value, but the production costs requires our participation. Only if we withhold our support, and deny them the money they need to mount their offensive against us (and it is certainly offensive), only then can we possibly hope to influence them to give us better, more responsible news coverage.

Unfortunately, I expect single coverage medical will arrive before we receive responsive media coverage.

John Cameron Swayze was fired. I just looked that up and it was in 1956.

Now my DH is in assisted living and I have been exposed to cable news and I must say, it's horrible. I'm amazed that people (other than proprietors of assisted living homes) actually PAY to have this come into their homes!

The evening hours at M$NBC have a few good shows but CNN is proving to be much better all day long.
