Nevada’s Early Vote Numbers Have Hillary Clinton Supporters Thrilled

Huffington Post: If she takes Nevada, she could lose every other swing state and still win the presidency.

Democrats are turning out in large numbers in the battleground state of Nevada, building what may become a vital electoral firewall for the party’s presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton, in the final days of the 2016 race.

As of Sunday morning, registered Democrats had established a 7-point lead over registered Republicans in the state’s early vote totals. That margin is just slightly below the lead Democrats held at the same point in 2012, when President Barack Obama ended up winning the state by 6.6 percent.

I disagree that she can win as long as she wins Nevada. She must win Wisconsin. That is the state StevieM Oct 2016 #4

that will decide the election.

I assume that if she wins Wisconsin then she will also win Pennsylvania, Virginia and Michigan. But winning those three does not indicate that she will definitely win Wisconsin.

If she does win Wisconsin then she must also win in one of three places: Nevada, New Hampshire, or the 2nd congressional districts of Maine and Nebraska.

It's not hard to come up with a scenario where Clinton loses Wisconsin but still reaches 270+. She could lose Wisconsin by a narrow margin but win MI, PA, VA, NC, NV, NH, and so on. That said, I think she'll win Wisconsin.

Democrats came out very slightly ahead on Sunday, according to Jon Ralston, maintaining a 2500 vote edge overall in that swing county.

He hasn't specified Clark County breakdown yet but did say voting numbers picked up late in the day to surpass 2012 level of the corresponding day after looking light earlier in the day.
