(61,604 posts)I won't link the site - I think it's funded by Putin - but there are posters there with the exact same posting names as DUers
I feel like warning them that their names are being besmirched. This site posts horrible things about Hillary Clinton, calling her foul names, photoshopping images to make it look like she's incontinent, etc.

(15,262 posts)Homoferus deplorabilis, a recently devolved troll species living in small groups in baskets, characterized by nationalism, misogyny, hatred, prideful ignorance, small groping paws, a loud mouth, inability to articulate complex sentences, and shitting their own nest.
To quote an old DU thread:
Unlike Internet trolls generally, the political trolls, a distinct genera (Homoferus), remain poorly described.
The genus name derives from the combined form of:
homo hominis : human being, man + ferus : fierce, wild, savage, untamed.
It would be helpful to have clearer descriptions and nomenclature to deal with these pesky ratf**kers!
=======================
Blemming, noun, a blog lemming, a nuisance person or thread calling attention to and enthusiastic about a distracting topic
Blemming, verb. to distract from an important issue with irrelevancies, to blemish or inundate a reasonable discussion with extraeous issues
Usage: Blemmings often lead the herd over a cliff to drown in a sea of irrelevancy.
Synonym: Online ratf*cker.
Gooooogling blemming: I was surprised to see a usage for "blemming" online. And one so suited to what I thought would be a truly fresh neologism. This from Jan 25, 2004. - http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=blemming
1. blemming
To be a nuisance to;
To call attention to;
To be enthusiastic about;
To bring on a trip .....
Hit and run posters on DU.
I've noticed a few of those recently. The OP posts a really provocative statement and then vanishes, not responding to any DUers who have commented.
