Man injured by box-cutter blades hidden on Trump-Pence sign outside Plano polling location

An election volunteer cut his hands on a Trump-Pence sign after someone allegedly put blades on it and used it to cover an official polling sign in Plano.

A friend dropping off an election worker about 6:15 a.m. Tuesday noticed a campaign sign for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump at the Spring Creek Campus of Collin College, 2800 East Spring Creek Parkway, Collin College spokeswoman Lisa Vasquez said in a statement.

The friend stopped as he left the campus to help re-position the sign to the correct location because it was blocking the official polling site sign. When he did so, box-cutter blades attached to the Trump-Pence sign cut his hands.

We are taught this in election training. If any candidate's sign is blocking important information, or within the 100 ft marker we are told to pull it up and not replace it.

I realize this wasn't a poll worker, he should have informed the poll workers to remove it.

There is "intent to harm" in this design with the knife blades positioned where a person might grab the sign. That makes putting the sign there, in a public place, a felony. This should be investigated and prosecuted. I'd bet good money that the moron who designed this "infernal device" left fingerprints on the plastic of that sign.

It did, indeed, cause bodily harm, in that the person who moved the sign from blocking a polling place sign, was cut by those inserted blades. The felony was committed, as intended by the designer.

Someone should get some prison time for this act, which is made worse by interfering with an election.

I hope it is investigated and an arrest ensues.
