Tim Robbins parts ways with his ex Susan Sarandon: ‘In a time of insanity, I’m voting for Hillary’

Susan Sarandon is standing strong in her support for Bernie Sanders and refusing to vote for Hillary Clinton, but in a recent Huffington Post op-ed, ex-husband Tim Robbins begs Bernie supporters to think again.

“In a time of insanity, I’m voting for Hillary,” Robbins writes. “Aside from the despicable racism and sexism of the reality show star, aside from his tax evasion and lying and bankruptcies, Trump denies climate change. Trump wants to be a ‘law and order’ president in a time when crime is at all time lows. Trump has shown an alarming disrespect for women and teenage girls.”

By contrast, Robbins highlights that Clinton supports the Paris Accord and alternative energy. “Hillary has promised to continue reforming the broken and racist criminal justice system,” he continued. “Hillary promises to be a president in advocacy of women and children.”

Robbins argues that there will never be a place for progressives at the table in a Trump administration. In a Clinton White House, progressives have someone who can’t ignore them.

seriously the stakes are too damn high to even leave anything to chance when it comes to a potential trump win. we can relitigate the progressive/not progressive enough fight after the election, trump is too much of a danger for anyone to sit this one out or vote for anyone other than hillary.

TV YESTERDAY. (I think it was CNN...I switch back and forth between CNN and MSNBC.) Ms. Sarandon is NOT listening to Bernie's pleas to vote for Hillary. She says she is voting for Stein. Sarandon and Stein...smug, white privileged idiots.

PS Thank you Tim Robbins.

candidates who are in the running. A statement protest at this point is a wasted vote. It doesn't help the rest of us but it's her vote to make.

Susan is really not a "nut job", and I am not really upset with her. She will suffer with the rest of us if the Republicans are in charge of everything.

They will be, if we don't support our very fine woman candidate.

Our first woman President - Hillary Rodham Clinton!
