2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumAt this point, the election cake is baked
The polls have stabilized with Hillary increasing her leads marginally. Early voting has pretty much wrapped up except for a few states. We go into a big weekend of college and pro football. Then, it's back to work for most with the election Tuesday. There is no bombshell coming from either side, and nothing short of us hopping into a major war by Sunday will make an impact. The public is DONE with this election.
Very little if anything can or will change from this point forward. Try as the media will to promote a nonexistent horserace, the electorate HAS decided. Them's the facts.
Taking all of the news from today as a whole, Hillary is in position to win the presidency in a landslide, Dems will win back the Senate with a slight majority and the House will most likely stay R, though Ds will have made gains there as well.
As Dems, we should be feeling pretty good about things.

Poll runners.
The office is not staffed with paid employees. It is 100% volunteer and they have the best GOTV team in NC. They know the pressure is on and they ARE ground zero for this election cycle. JOIN THEM!

(14,743 posts)Dems are arguing whether it's 320 or a much higher number, and the republics are arguing whether it's a tie at 269 each or a clear mandate at 270.......
I'd much rather be a delusional dem.
