It appears that Comey and the media have done us a favor.

The Comey letter and subsequent media obsession with reporting it like it was some huge bombshell caused the polls to tighten.

Then the media began frantically reporting that Trump might now have a chance to win which seems to have lit a fire under Democrats.

Reports are coming in from all over that Democrats especially Latinos are turning out in record numbers to early vote which could make the difference in some very key states.

Funny how things sometimes turn out for the better when they at first seemed like a disaster!

Thank you Director Comey and the media!

1. republicans rarely consider the consequences of their actions

It is one of Umberto Eco's hallmarks of Fascism

"Action being beautiful in itself, it must be taken before, or without, reflection. Thinking is a form of emasculation. Therefore culture is suspect insofar as it is identified with critical attitudes. Distrust of the intellectual world has always been a symptom of Ur-Fascism, from Hermann Goering's fondness for a phrase from a Hanns Johst play ("When I hear the word 'culture' I reach for my gun&quot to the frequent use of such expressions as "degenerate intellectuals," "eggheads," "effete snobs," and "universities are nests of reds." The official Fascist intellectuals were mainly engaged in attacking modern culture and the liberal intelligentsia for having betrayed traditional values."

From the Buddhist perspective, karma, the law of cause and result, is very very complex. One should carefully and rationally consider the causes and conditions of a situation, and also consider the possible outcomes of an action. Republicans don't do that because they have little self discipline IMHO.

They seem very simplistic in their thinking.. like everything must be right or wrong, black or white, yes or no. They seem completely incapable of nuanced thought.

but the polls are tightening because the media allowed that grifter Dump to get in the race, when he should have been laughed off the stage.

People are freaking out, there is voter suppression going on, there is foreign interference from a non-ally, there is just about every illegal thing that can happen in a US election (in favor of Dumpster). It may take every single democrat to get out and vote on Tuesday. Not one of us can refuse to vote, we have to vote like our ives depend on it - 'cause it does.

Before Tuesday. He needs to rebuke Giuliani by name. And then resign.

And he should clean out the entire NY field office. Fire EVERYBODY and rebuild from scratch because who knows who can be trusted there now?

AND then he needs to resign.

Or perhaps President Obama needs to fire him after this is over and it can't be somehow claimed that HE was trying to "influence" an election. Seems to me he could do quite a few things on his own now, once the election is behind him and he doesn't have to give a rat's ass what the CONS think.

He could even issue a blanket pardon to Hillary to cut Jason Chaffetz and ANY further "investigations" or nuisance persecutions off at the knees. If I were in his position, I'd have a group of legal experts looking at all the possible "get-arounds" and loopholes and any weasely fine print that a Chaffetz might try to use to file suit or launch an "investigation" or any such thing. Cut it ALL off at the knees before it can even start walking.

That is why they are stuck with Trump.

I think their mistake is showing their colors. (FBI). Now we know and knowing is half the battle. ...

that having law enforcement openly interfere in an election would help to energize minority communities? After all they have such a positive intimate relationship up to now.
