The chopped-up furniture that they're shoveling into the fireplace in a desperate attempt to stave off the howling electoral darkness that awaits them.

They're already burned up everything else - money, rational thought, credibility, whatever shreds of self-respect they had left.

MI is among a handful of states with almost no early voting, so the Clinton campaign is doing GOTV in the lead-up to Tuesday. Hillary will be in lots of states between now and Tuesday, concetrating on those with no early voting. The Trump campaign apparently does not understand the concept of smart GOTV.

“Trump is basically going everywhere over those last few days and just cramming in every single state. As far as I’m concerned, the more time he spends in Minnesota and Nevada, the better,” Mook said. “In Michigan, almost all voting happens on Election Day, [like] Pennsylvania, New Hampshire and even Ohio. So our schedule is calibrated around that.”

After they gutted the economy of the state they really think they can tap into the angry white ex-factory worker vote. They make this mistake every election. They did with Rmoney and now with Trump. We will see - but I think at this point it's a waste of dear old Donald's precious time.

And by the number of ads from both sides I've seen here in the last week both sides are spending a ton of money here.

Both Hillary, Trump, and the President will be in MI today and tomorrow.

As much as it pains me to say it, this is a battleground state, if Hillary had it locked up she wouldn't be devoting so much time and resources here so close the the election. Noe I think it's a very long shot for Trump, but he is devoting as much here as he is in FL or OH it seems, it's his last campaign stop tomorrow night.

The fact is it's a semi-battleground state with a high number of electoral votes, so the Clinton campaign is doing what they need to do to GOTV.

along with having to win all the other swing states, all of which is highly unlikely.

But MI is one of these states like OH that has a high percentage of white working class who get fooled by Trump's faux-populism. He has made a push to try to win it, and we have Comey's treasonous bullshit being pushed by the complicit media over the last week, leading to some tightening of the polls, leading to Hillary sending Obama (who is still very popular there, won by 17 points in 2008 and 9.5 points in 2012) there to GOTV and make sure it stays blue.

Hillary will likely win MI by 5+ points, which is more in line with the margin that Gore and Kerry won it by, so it is simply regressing back to the mean, and still a blue state, imo.

I take Michael Moore seriously. This system has screwed a lot of people. Voting to F up the gov't is a way to hit back. Trump for all his clownishness plays on that resentment. There could be a lot of unpolled Trump sleeper votes out there. A 5% spread is nothing.

GOTV like your future depended on it.

... The poll probably has a margin of error of around 2.5%. So you take Trump's margin of 2.5% and give it to Trump. Then you take Hillary's margin of 2.5% and you give that to Trump.

Then you account for caging, voter intimidation, telling voters they can vote by text, roll purges, and Jebus, and Trump wins!

"I saw someone mention the Michigan/Robby Mook thing. I could, of course, be wrong, but my guess is that it’s a head fake. She’s led in Michigan the entire time. And, you’ll notice, Trump is going back there. This would possibly keep him away from Florida and Ohio where she’s still spending time. It’s possibly similar to 2008 when Obama pretended they were investing in Arizona at the end of the race, thereby forcing McCain to go back there. Just my guess."
