When my Dad asked my Grandfather for Mom's hand in marriage, Grandpa poured out a glass of Old Overholt and sat it down next to a very hot chili pepper. And then he stared at Dad, who quickly figure out what he had to do, to be approved. So he chomped down the pepper and downed the Old Overholt. Apparently, he passed the test.
