Glenn Beck: "Obama made me a better man."

From Talking Points Memo. Excerpts:

Beck — who once said that Obama has a "a deep-seated hatred for white people" — says that the President has made him a better person.

"I did a lot of freaking out about Barack Obama," the conservative pundit told the New Yorker in a recent interview. “Obama made me a better man.”

Beck said that he regrets calling Obama a racist and recognizes that it's hard to relate to the experiences of African Americans.

“There are things unique to the African-American experience that I cannot relate to,” he told the New Yorker. “I had to listen to them.”
....
He told the New Yorker that Trump once called him into a guest room at his Mar-A-Lago resort and then telephoned him. “We had this weird, almost Howard Hughes-like conversation,” Beck told the New Yorker.

He said the conversation left him thinking Trump is crazy. “This guy is dangerously unhinged,” Beck told the New Yorker. “And, for all the things people have said about me over the years, I should be able to spot Dangerously Unhinged.”

I caught some of his show last week and apparently he did an interview with NPR that was on this weekend. He said it was "the most completely unprofessional" interview he'd ever done.

For some reason he was on Charlie Rose a week or two ago. I got through 5 minutes of it. He is still a batshit crazy word salad machine. He just takes long sighing breathes.

It appears that he is trying to market himself to a new audience. You are also right about his fans - The Blaze is about to collapse.

spewing was wrong.

If Beck is switching sides aka David Brock then all I can say is 'Welcome Home'.

Perhaps Beck and help bring to light how the right wing media works. I truly think most of these right-wing pundits don't believe even half the shit they spew. But since someone is willing to pay them well then they do it.

It just froze over.

Perhaps Glenn Beck should reach out to David Brock about his sudden revelations.

Brock use to slander liberals and especially Hillary Clinton all the time. He was the one who coined 'A Little Bit Nutty and a Little Bit Slutty' when referring to Anita Hill.

Brock is now a progressive and realizes that he wrote alot of shit because people were willing to pay him for the lies.

Whatever the case, I appreciate these comments about our President and Glenn's evident reconciliation.

I do not trust him however. I'll give him a chance. Get involved. If he's a better man make the world a better place. Your move Glenn.

but saying all that makes him seem more sincere and not just "anti-Trump". President Obama is not the kind of person who holds grudges, so I'm sure that he would give Beck the benefit of the doubt. At this point, it's not like there is any particular reason that Beck would feel like he would need to "suck up" to President Obama, right?

A Trump Presidency would probably make A LOT of people (even quite a few Republicans) pine for Barack Obama.
