I had my first sighting of a Trump supporter in the wild

I'm staying with an Aunt while taking care of my sick Mom in Missouri and she had an appliance technician out to fix her washing machine. He was covered in tats and had huge spacers in his ears.

He asked if we were voting tomorrow. I told him I already had and my Aunt said yes. He went on to say that a lot of people think because of the way he looks that he's a Democrat but that he's actually a Republican, err, well really a libertarian. I asked if he was voting Johnson and he said no, he was voting for Trump.

My Aunt and I got quiet, then polite. When he left the house she told me she wanted to hit him with a stick when he said he was voting for Trump. I had to chuckle.

BTW, my Aunt is an anti-choice Catholic voting for Clinton.

One guy was just prancing around the office singing "Go Cubs Go" but it was "Go Trump Go". There was much awkwardness around that.

losers looking for a handout. They seem to know nothing about Trump. So many in the US are so naive and gullible.

But to those I know that are Trump supporters, they are backing him because they hate/fear Hillary more or they are Republican team fans and will support anything that has a R next to it no matter how offensive it is. They are the people that show up in team colors to a week 10 football game and the home team is 0-10 and they're still hope, somehow, it will all work out.

beheaded with our bombs, a big wall of hatred, cuts to the safety net, guns allowed everywhere with minimal restrictions, acceptance of ignorance as a virtue, etc. He'll Make America White Again. Lots of people dream of Trump's vision of America.

I'm well insulated from them since I live in Miami but I travel a lot for work so I see plenty of them.

They're easy to spot, usually wearing something about Nascar, terrible body odor, chewing tobacco, confederate flags, gave up on school after 3rd grade (talk to any of them, they complain about people that speak Spanish when they themselves can barely spit out English), broke and they all have some kind of sob story. I'm pretty sure I'm missing a few things but just thinking about them makes me want to take a shower.

and managed to blame liberals for it.

Its sad, so many are poisoned like that, poisoned forever it seems.

As I approached a busy roundabout in my car I saw a giant pickup truck covered in Trump stickers being driven by a young, blond-haired kid. As the little jerk entered the roundabout he revved his truck and produced one of those giant black clouds that pretty much obscure vision for every other driver. All I could think was "brains of a turnip."

In which the Trumpies got their wish and had to live under a Trump regime for 4 or 8 years, while the rest of us enjoyed the reality of a Clinton presidency.
